Some stories begin with pain but grow into purpose. 

Here is mine 

Why I started Stay Alive Candle Co. 

Stay Alive Candle Co. was created in honor of my mom and dad, who both lost their lives to suicide. 

In 2006 my dad Kenneth Ray Anderson lost his life to suicide, I was 11. July of 2025, I lost my mom to suicide. At the age of 30 my life changed when I found my mom after she lost her life. Losing both of my parents is something words can never fully explain. There are moments when grief is heavy, quiet, confusing, and impossible to carry. But through the pain, one thing remained in my heart: 

Their story could not end in silence. 

I knew I wanted to create something meaningful. Something that could remind people they matter. Something that could bring comfort into dark moments. That's why Stay Alive Candle Co. was born. 

These candles are more than "smell good" products. 

They are reminders.

Bright and uplifting, created to bring light into heavy moments. 

Even the names behind the candles reflect messages I wish more people could hear:

Mental Health Matters 

Mental health struggles do not always look obvious. 

Sometimes people smile while silently hurting. Sometimes the strongest people are fighting battles nobody sees. I know how important it is to talk about suicide awareness, grief, depression, anxiety, and hope openly, without shame. 

That is why this business means so much to me. 

If even one person lights one of my candles and feels comfort...

If one person feels seen... 

If one person decides to stay another day...

Then this mission matters. 

More than a Candle Company 

My dream is for Stay Alive Candle Co. to become something bigger than candles. 

I want it to become a community centered around healing, hope and mental health awareness. A place where people feel safe, understood, and reminded they are not alone. 

This business is built from heartbreak, but it is also built from Love. 

And I truly believe my parents' legacy is not just their loss - it is the hope their story can inspire in others through me.
